INTERIOR

Stepping down into the Oceanis 51.1 is a breath of fresh air. Bathed in natural light thanks to the large portholes, everything about her is elegant and simply ‘makes sense’. The owners cabin is lush, with a 1.6m island bed, shower and separate toilet which is worthy of boats much larger. There’s options galore to customise this area and the clever folk at Nauta Design have again presented two beautiful choices of woodwork to finish downstairs with the contemporary brushed oak or more traditional mahogany.

EXTERIOR

Relaxed sunbathers and performance driven sailors alike can enjoy the perks of the Oceanis 51.1’s features and layout. There’s plenty of space to move and relax and little features like tilting headrests on the companionway sunbeds can sometimes make all the difference.

DESIGN

A major development of the range is the stepped hull which extends over a third of the hull. This flared shape creates additional interior space while maximising performance under sail. This allows for exciting new layouts on a boat of this size, and why three different versions can be presented with more options than ever before.

HIGH PERFORMANCE FIRST LINE

Fitted with an extra-long carbon or aluminium mast, Oceanis 51.1 First Line has up to 35% additional sail area in high-tech material. The boat has a 2.8m lead bulb keel in this High Performance configuration. This reduces weight and hydronamic drag. To complete this version, a composite steering wheel, top if the range deck fittings and boomsprit promise the best combination of cruising comfort and performance.
