SAILING EXPERIENCE

Stable and lightweight with a wide and flat hull shape, deep-ballasted swinging keel and high performance rigging, the First 18 SE delivers a dinghy-like sailing experience but on a more safe and stable platform. Simple systems make for easy handling and the boat’s responsiveness makes every sail fun and fast. A lifting keel means you can beach wherever you want, or sail right into your favourite bay. System and boat controls are simplified leaving a nice and clear deckspace.  The jib is furling, the gennaker is easily operated with a snuffer system and a carbon mast without a backstay supports the powerful square-top mainsail.
