Maritimo M60 – Damaged Vessel for Tender

The 2006 Maritimo M60, once a stunning vessel powered by twin 1001hp Caterpillar C18 engines, suffered significant damage after colliding with a reef and sinking in ten meters of water. The starboard propeller shaft hull bearing and strut were compromised, leading to flooding that overwhelmed the bilge pumps. Re-floated and towed to Tauranga, it now sits on a hardstand, with engines and gearboxes preserved with diesel, generators intact, and soft furnishings and batteries removed.
36 Degrees Brokers, appointed by the Insurance Company, are calling for tenders to find a new owner. This presents a unique opportunity to restore the M60 to its former glory or repurpose it creatively, such as for unique accommodation.
