Trawlers are often referred to as blue water cruising boats because they're tough, safe and well-suited to handling rough water.  Built and designed in America, this solid glass hull and high flared bow make the Mainship 34 Trawler an attractive NZ cruiser. Designed to move down the U.S Intercoastal waterways, cruise the Florida coast and cross the gulf to the Caribbean puts these Trawlers into the class of sea-worthy capable boats for their size.

Large side windows offer plenty of light, slide open and have screens. This gives her owner an immediate connection the marine environment. Beautifully finished in varnished cherry with an impressive ships style wheel.  It has an excellent view in all directions and if the weather was too cold, too hot or too rainy, you can still run the boat from here with ease.

Get around the exterior of this boat safely with the high guard rail and a cabin door on the starboard side near the interior helm for exterior access and plenty of room to sit out on the front deck while cruising. Oasis has a staircase to the flying bridge again ensuring moving around the boat is safe and convenient.

Oasis is shaft driven with a Yanmar 315hp single screw. It is well looked after and has never missed a birthday. Sufficiently powered this displacement trawler cruises at an economical 8kts and will get up to 12kts.

The boat is well-suited to navigating remote anchorages with both upper and lower helm station controls. Oasis has been fitted with a secondary drum anchor system offer redundancy for peace of mind. From an engineering standpoint, access and ease have been maintained with fuel strainers, batteries, water pumps kept in reach and a sight gauge diesel fuel tank.  You can get all the way around the engines for service and the ceiling is heavily insulated and to keep the interior as quiet as possible.

The flying bridge is very large for this size of boat. There is an L-shaped seat on the port side that's wide enough to be a sunbed and has a large amount of storage under the cushions. Oasis is a sea keeping boat that tracks a course very nicely with a sharp entry, shallow draft and shaft angle that improves efficiency.  Hydraulic steering is light and comfortable to use and the electronic ZF controls offer instant throttle response.

Good luck finding another boat that offers the accommodation and performance in a size range that will be this easy to handle and economical.
