The Bavaria 51 Cruiser looks sophisticated and elegant. She has a furling headsail and in-mast furling which are led back to the two electric primary winches and jib cars inboard on the cabin top. She will exhibit great pointing ability. The added cruising bonus is that it keeps the side decks clear.

This is a great sailor's yacht with a draft of 2.25 meters. The shallow draft is enough to get into the best anchorages without compromising sailing ability. This brings us to the other side of sailing, manoeuvrability in and out of the marina. This boat won’t have you going sideways down the fairway, with her Gori propeller, 75hp engine, twin spade rudders and bow thruster, you will be docking this boat in and out of the marina with ease. Once you arrive at the dock in style people will ask What design she is. It will make you immensely proud to say it's a yacht that is designed by one of New Zealand's most successful boat designers Bruce Farr.

She was originally purchased as a New Zealand new boat and has sailed around the coast between Picton to the Bay of Islands. Indicating that her milage is very low compared with many production boats that arrive in New Zealand from the other side of the world.

On the bow, you will find a large storage locker for spare sails and other equipment. The cockpit features a drop-leaf table that doubles as a coolbox and at the aft end hold of the table, you can find the console for the instruments. With twin wheels, allowing for an easy walk-through onto the drop-down transom, fantastic for swimming and accessing the boat with a dingy.

The Bavaria 51 features 3 heads, 3 cabins, and a bunk bed located in the storage room, making it ideal for a family. The modern interior is in great condition, with a lovely contrast between the light flooring and darker timber on the walls, complemented by hard-wearing navy-colored upholstery. The U-shaped galley, located fore and aft, comes equipped with double sinks and an expanding dining table, providing ample space for the entire family or crew during meals. Additionally, the slightly elevated chart table serves as an extra bench top when needed at mealtime.

The condition of this boat down below shows that the previous owners looked after her and that the new owner can pick her up and enjoy some quality boating straight off the bat. This is an amazing coastal sailing yacht that could be upgraded for ocean cruising adventures.
