Built for the Pacific!
This Alubat Ovni 395 is a proven aluminium bluewater cruiser, now further strengthened as a long-range cruising package with a new Volvo D2-50 engine installed in July 2026, together with new engine insulation. For a yacht designed to operate far from home, this is a significant upgrade and gives her next owner confidence in one of the boat’s most critical systems.
Built in France by Alubat and designed by Philippe Briand, the Ovni 395 has earned its reputation through robust aluminium construction and a practical lifting keel and rudder configuration. With draft reducing from 2.1m to just 0.6m, she can access shallow anchorages, lagoons and protected cruising grounds that conventional keel yachts simply cannot.
Her 5083 H111 marine-grade aluminium hull provides the strength and durability demanded for extended offshore cruising. The lifting keel and rudder add another level of versatility, particularly when exploring remote Pacific islands, reefs and tidal anchorages.
Set up for short-handed sailing, with a secure cockpit, furling headsail and sail controls led aft, she is a capable platform for extended tropical cruising. Below deck, the two-cabin layout provides the storage, ventilation and practical living space required for life aboard.
Currently positioned in the Bay of Islands, she is already at the gateway to the South Pacific. Tonga, Fiji, New Caledonia and beyond are ahead.
