PIC Harbour Classic Edition

This year, the Beneteau Owners Rally is joining forces with the PIC Harbour Classic, one of New Zealand’s largest on-water events, bringing Lagoon owners together for a standout weekend on the water.

The Harbour Classic is aiming to break the Guinness World Record for the largest number of boats in a single event. Our goal is simple: get a strong Beneteau fleet on the start line, boost the numbers, and be part of something genuinely special.

Beneteau owners will gather at the North Head start line, sail their chosen PIC Harbour Classic course or a dedicated Beneteau division (power or sail), then regroup at Motuihe Island for a relaxed BBQ, drinks and owners’ social.

For powerboat owners, we are planning a separate power course, along with a few additional prize categories, to ensure the experience suits both sail and power participants.

Whether you choose to race or cruise, the focus is on participation, community, and enjoying a great weekend with fellow Beneteau owners.

Start Line: North Head, Auckland - 12.00pm
Post-race destination: Motuihe Island
Berthing: Jellicoe Harbour (Friday & Saturday nights)

The Plan

Friday Night

- Beneteau boats berthed together at Jellicoe Harbour. 
- 19:00 - Event briefing - full details to be notified in Sailing Instructions
- 19:30 - PIC Harbour Classic Welcome Party

Saturday

- 10:00 - Boats depart for start line
- 12:00 hours Race starts - Sail your chosen course, or the Beneteau Division
- After Race Finish - Turn and Head to Motuihe Island
- Anchor in the bay, dinghy ashore for a BBQ, drinks and owners’ social

From Motuihe, boats can either:

• Return to Jellicoe Harbour for the PIC Harbour Classic prizegiving (5.30 pm) and evening festivities, or
• Stay on at Motuihe and enjoy the afternoon at their own pace

Sunday
Depart Jellicoe Harbour and head home at leisure.

• Entry into the PIC Harbour Classic
• Friday night PIC Harbour Classic event
• Two nights of berthing at Jellicoe Harbour (Friday & Saturday)
• Participation in the Beneteau Owners Rally
• Motuihe BBQ, drinks and social catch-up

Cost: $80 per boat (includes up to 4 people)
Additional crew members are $20 per person.
(Includes Harbour Classic entry plus Beneteau Owners Rally food, drinks and prizes. Invoices will be issued closer to the event.)
