Meet SKYLARK: Blue-water proven, three-cabin owner layout - ready for her next adventure.

Designed by Gérard Danson, SKYLARK is a 2002 Outremer 55 standard in excellent condition. Continuously maintained and upgraded, she combines performance, safety and comfort in a well-thought-out owner’s layout.

SKYLARK features a three-cabin owners layout with port side spacious suite with ensuite bathroom, dedicated office and ample storage. The starboard hull houses two guest cabins with a centrally shared head, offering privacy and functionality for family or crew. A bright saloon provides generous seating around a large table, complemented by a well-appointed chart table. The galley is efficiently laid out with deep refrigeration and abundant storage, while wide windows and hatches make the space light and airy. Outside, the large cockpit is protected by a hardtop and offers a shaded lounge area ideal for entertaining or relaxing at anchor. Her solar array provides energy independence, making SKYLARK well suited for long-term live-aboard cruising.

Exceptional performance: Under sail, SKYLARK consistently averages 10kts and often sails in the teens. She excels in light air and remains balanced and secure in heaven weather, with three well placed reefs and a furling jib that make her easy to manage for a small crew. Her blue-water pedigree is proven: the voyage from Florida to New Zealand between February 2023 to November 2024, including a smooth 21 days Pacific crossing, demonstrates her reliability, speed and seaworthiness. The Danson design is a blue water legacy.

SKYLARK stands out as a proven ocean-ready platform that rivals newer performance cats for speed and reliability, without the price premium. She offers exceptional value to buyers seeking a turnkey Outremer 55 ready for extended cruising or live-aboard adventures.

Recent Refits and Upgrades:
Skylark has carried our family more than 8,000 nautical miles across the Pacific since early 2022. She has been our home, our classroom, and our adventure platform, and throughout this time she has been actively cruised, carefully maintained, and thoughtfully upgraded.

Skylark's standing rigging was fully replaced in 2019. In 2022, Skylark received a comprehensive refit to prepare her for circumnavigation. This included updated Raymarine electronics and chart plotters, new Harken Black Magic blocks with ProFurl and Colligo furling systems and a complete DC electrical refit with lithium batteries, expanded solar and full Victron power management. Both engines were removed for 1000-hour servicing, the drive train was refurbished with new rudder bearings, shaft struts and thrust couplers, and the engine rooms were modernised with new fuel and electrical systems. The watermaker was fully overhauled and fitted with new membranes.

Most recently in New Zealand, Skylark has been further restored with professional hull maintenance, gelcoat refinishing and new custom saloon cushions. She is structurally sound, mechanically reliable and fully outfitted for extended offshore passages. Ready for her next chapter, Skylark awaits an owner who will appreciate her capability, performance and proven reliability at sea.
