Two new models for Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 50

14 September 2017 | Beneteau

As the flagship vessel for Beneteau’s sport-cruiser line, the Gran Turismo 50 comes in two distinct models. The first of Beneteau’s range to be fitted with onboard ship-control technology comes in either a hardtop of sportfly version, with a completely open main-deck providing ample space for fun-living and relaxing on board. Dubbed as the vanguard of sport cruisers, the Gran Turismo 50 blends the expertise from Beneteau Power with the hallmark of designers Nuvolari and Lenard and talent of Andreani Design.

FAST, SAFE, AND ECONOMICAL SPORT CRUISER

Equipped with the AirStep®2 planning hull and developed with engine manufacturer Volvo, the Gran Turismo 50 offers excellent sea-keeping and optimum fuel consumption.

In the Hardtop configuration, the Gran Turismo 50 combines a retractable sun visor and side glazing that can be lowered along with an opening roof. Elegance aside, these features provide protection and ventilation which is a real bonus underway and at anchor.

As for the Gran Turismo 50 Sportfly, it has a second driving station with fantastic visibility. Seamlessly integrated into the boat’s line, the Sportfly has a double bench seat which converts to a sun-lounger beside the driver’s seat, as well as a comfortable saloon seating up to five guests.

Clever additions to the large sporty model include stowage for the tender and a huge swim platform at the stern. The tender locker has an optional hydraulic lowering system and the full-beam platform gives plenty of space for lazing about in the sun.

INNOVATION IN ONBOARD TECHNOLOGY

For the first time on a boat this size, the Ship Control technology provides simple centralized access to her controls. Inspired by similar equipment used in the car industry, this user-friendly intuitive interface is a new step towards offering everyone the opportunity to enjoy boating. With Ship Control you can check the gauges, manage air-conditioning, navigation lights, indoor lights and the Hi-Fi system. A tap on the navigation screens or a 7-inch tablet and above, and the Gran Turismo 50 obeys your every command.

THE HALLMARK OF DISTINCTION

Designed and fitted out with people who like to express their individuality in mind, the Gran Turismo 50 has elegant and intelligently organized spaces.

Destined for pleasure, the cockpit continues in the form of a vast lounge area on the main full-space deck of the Gran Turismo 50. The cleverly concealed pocket frame glass door opens seamlessly onto the deck, creating remarkable harmony and incredible comfort underway or at anchor.

The many glass windows and portholes and incredible space on the lower deck fill the boat with lots of natural light. In the two available versions -‘saloon cosy’ or three cabins -the Gran Turismo 50 has a full-beam owner suite, bathed in light with an en-suite shower room.

With top quality, skillfully, crafted and harmoniously matched material with beautiful wood finishing, the Gran Turismo 50 is practical and stunning. The walnut woodwork marries well with the padded linings and lacquered items, not the mention the pleasant feel of the soft-touch leatherette.

In the galley, Corian® worktops cover the very practical and spacious fittings. This well-equipped space is replicated in the cockpit where a small exterior galley with grill-come-worktop is located above the swim platform. Hardtop or Sportfly, this new Gran Turismo is a sensational sport cruiser offering plenty of thrills and confirms Beneteau’s extraordinary ability to stand out in the large cruiser market.
