The Owners Rally. Done Right.

What a weekend.

We kicked things off berthed together in Jellicoe Harbour on the Friday night, bringing together a strong community of Beneteau, Lagoon, and Excess owners from across NZ. 

By Saturday morning, it was all on. 

Clear blue skies, light breeze, and a steady flow of boats heading out towards the PIC Harbour Classic start line. Whether you were there to race or just be part of it, there’s something about seeing a full fleet spread across the water that never gets old. 

On the Water

From the start line, the day unfolded exactly how it should.

Some boats leaned into it and raced the PIC Harbour Classic course, chasing angles and making the most of the conditions. Others peeled away as part of the Owners Rally cruise, settling into an easy pace and heading across to Motuihe together.

That mix is what made it. No pressure, no one way to do it - just getting out there and enjoying it your own way. 

By early afternoon, the fleet regrouped off Motuihe Island.

Boats scattered across the bay, tenders running back and forth, and the beach quickly filling with crews ready to switch off and settle in.

The setup came together effortlessly. Drinks cracked open, food laid out, and the whole thing just rolled from there.

The sandwiches didn’t last long, the drinks definitely didn’t stop, and before long the beach games were in full swing - competitive, lots of laughs, and exactly what you’d expect with our fabulous owners.

Just good people, good boats, and a place you didn’t want to leave!

As the afternoon stretched on, everyone did their own thing.

Some boats made their way back to Jellicoe for prizegiving and the afterparty aboard Osprey. Others stayed rafted up, keeping things going onboard with the fleet. And a few made the call to stay right where they were at Motuihe, making the most of a seriously good evening at anchor. You couldn’t really get it wrong.

A big thanks to Deck Devil and Burnsco - Westhaven for backing the day with prizes and adding to the atmosphere.

More Than Just a Day on the Water

What stood out most wasn’t just the conditions - it was the people.

A great turnout of Beneteau, Lagoon, and Excess owners, all there for the same reason. To get out on the water, share it with others, and be part of something that feels a bit bigger than just a weekend event. It’s exactly the kind of community that comes with boat ownership here in NZ - and it’s something we don’t take for granted.

Safe to say… we cant wait to do the Owners Rally all over again next year :)
