It is a step further in customisation, with a view to satisfying the desire among Owners for a personalised organisation of their lifestyle on board. The Oceanis 35.1 and 38.1 interiors have been rethought and their exteriors redesigned, delivering significant developments and offering a choice of 10 versions in all.

Loyal to spirit of this earlier generation and in the tradition of the 41.1, the Oceanis 35.1 and 38.1 combine performance and comfort at sea.

The hull by the French architects Finot-Conq stands for comfort and good balance under sail, making a noteworthy entry into the market for this size of boat. With twin rudders, masts positioned further aft and optimised sail plans, the two hulls deliver high performance and offer great stability underway.

A redesigned deck plan with a strop on the coachroof gives the boat a sleeker profile while maintaining the cruising features of the cockpit completely free of manoeuvres under sail. As for the mainsail arch, it is the ideal choice for a cockpit protected in all circumstances, since large sidings can be fitted with ease.

Thanks to this distinctive new chined hull accentuating their sleek profiles, the two Oceanises 35.1 and 38.1 boast an elegant design and layout by Nauta Design. For the Italian design team, the challenge was to multiply the living spaces in the saloon and offer greater privacy in the Owner’s cabin, while maintaining the visual perspective that her opening to the bow offered in previous versions.

A new L-shaped galley, located on the port side of the 45° companionway, makes a facing seat saloon arrangement possible. The space has been well optimised to allow eight people to sit around the table. For a  more contemporary version, a long galley layout is still available.

In the same spirit, the chart table has also been redesigned. Practical and effective, it folds away to leave more room in the saloon.

Now accessed by a double door, the Owner’s cabin offers wonderful privacy. This new separate space still has a pleasant forward view of the boat when the doors are open.

The two new Oceanises offer a choice between a contemporary light oak or more classic Mahogany Alpi atmosphere. Once the cabinetwork has been decided upon, a wide choice of linings and upholstery colours and materials adds the finishing personal touches.

Designed to suit a variety of sailing programmes and increasingly different lifestyles on board, the Oceanis 35.1 and 38.1 are available respectively in four and six versions with varied layouts: number of cabins and bathrooms, modularity of the saloon, choice of galley, storage capacity, etc.

In the tradition of the latest 41.1, these two new cruisers cleverly combine practical features, performance, and elegance on boat sizes where function generally outweighs personalisation. The Oceanis range continues to stand by its desire to offer a wide choice to demanding customers.
