SAILING EXPERIENCE

Stable and lightweight with a wide and flat hull shape, a deep-ballasted swinging keel, and high-performance rigging, the First 18 SE delivers a dinghy-like sailing experience but on a more safe and stable platform. Simple systems make for easy handling, and the boat’s responsiveness makes every sail fun and fast. A lifting keel means you can beach wherever you want or sail right into your favourite bay. System and boat controls are simplified, leaving a nice and clear deckspace.  The jib is furling, the gennaker is easily operated with a snuffer system, and a carbon mast without a backstay supports the powerful square-top mainsail.

The interior layout may well surprise you with an amazing amount of space for a boat of this size, with room for up to two adults to sleep. A user-friendly companionway leads you inside, where there is a great-sized v-berth with smart crew bags for personal belongings. Suitable for cruising the coastline or racing in the harbour, this is a design that will impress.
