This boat presents a great opportunity to get involved with a piece of New Zealand's yachting heritage. Fast and beautiful, this is a build that shows attention to structure, a beautiful interior for cruising and functional spaces, allowing you to do a mixture of cruising and enjoying the boat on anchor with the family.

This is a great boat to use as is for costal cruising or could be taken to the next level with a refit and have the capability to cross wide oceans at speed and in comfort.

With the potential to do 25 knots at the right wind angle or take it easy and have an enjoyable passage, Longfellow has impressive upwind performance and is an absolute dream to sail on a reach.

Yep, she's got and old engine, but it starts first pop and is a big, strong old diesel that will stubbornly run forever.

This boat has an impressive layup of fiberglass on the outside which has kept the hull in great condition over the years. We welcome you to lift the floorboards for close inspection of the hull, there is nothing to hide.
She is sleek, without compromise to the large interior volume. The simple and sturdy kauri timberwork inside is immaculately finished and has been well looked after.

This boat has a functional yet comfortable layout, featuring a very safe portside aft galley with double sinks. There is a huge amount of seating area in the saloon, and a massive nav station/ writing desk. With 3 cabins, she can sleep 10 comfortably, and has plenty of room for the family and more.

Previously advertised at the same price, improvements have since been made. In the last few weeks, this boat has been stripped of the owners’ gear. Longfellow is looking ship-shape with a thorough clean from the interior to the decks, mast, and spreaders. The forward storage locker has also had a fresh coat of paint.

This boat has been at the sharp end of the fleet of New Zealand costal racing for many years, with titles from the Coastal Classic, harbor racing, and the Tall Ships race. Even against modern boats now, in the right conditions, she’d be tough to beat.

She is well set up now with electronics and a solar arch. She has a good boom cover to create shade at anchor, and an electric capstan to make anchoring nice and easy.

A 2018 Survey is available on request.

Come on up, check her out, live the dream and continue on the legacy of this awesome boat.
