Versatile

The sail configuration can be reduced to suit experienced sailors or novices and children alike. With the jib furled, smaller mainsail, and centreboard moved aft, this gives a smaller sail plan for easily controlled sailing. You’ve got two options when choosing a First 14; where the ‘standard’ version includes a mainsail only which is suited to single-handed sailing or beginners, and the double-handed version includes bowsprit and set of three sails. The standard version can be upgraded at any time when you’re ready for the next challenge!

Easily Transportable

Whatever your means of transportation, the First 14 is a breeze to carry around. It is light enough to be transported on the car’s roof, where it can be easily turned upside-down and transported to which ever sailing destination you wish! The dividable mast and equipment easily fit into the hull to make a compact package. The vacuum-infusion sandwich construction means it can maintain optimum weight while still being strong and durable. The trailer features unique removable wheels that will allow you to explore distant shores.
