Built Tough for Circumnavigating New Zealand!

Are you a seasoned yachtsman looking for a change? Our vendors are keen to trade up & invest funds in a modern monohull or catamaran for their future plans of sailing offshore.

Designed by Bruce Roberts and meticulously crafted by Taunton Marine of Christchurch in 2002. The sturdy construction and reliable build, this capable trawler opens a world of coastal cruising potential for those hard-to-reach places. Her displacement hull and aluminium top sides keep her weight down low and draft at a shallow 1.2m without compromising on stability. When you step on board you can really feel how solid this boat is, it doesn’t move.

Our walk-through video and photos show Kahurangi's bright, spacious wheelhouse layout, whether you're at the helm or lounging in the comfortable seating areas, every moment on board is designed to be enjoyable and practical. With four single bunks, a double cabin and drop down double in the saloon, there is room for the whole family. The walk around decks is a feature that is often overlooked, essential to keep the crew safe when conditions are tough.

Crafted with New Zealand's unique conditions in mind, Kahurangi is the ideal companion for coastal cruising especially if you are looking at heading south. Driven by a robust Perkins 210hp single screw engine, Kahurangi cruises effortlessly at 8 knots, making short work of challenging conditions. Fuel economy is great with an approximated average burn of 6.9L/Hr at 6.7kts. Her full length keel, protected prop and skeg hung rudder is the safest underwater arrangement.

Coupled with both midships and fly bridge navigate safely brand-new clears and canvas, offering ample room for your tender, keeping it secure and out of the way during rough conditions. Kahurangi has been lovingly cared for, with no maintenance overlooked. Returning in mid 2023, from Whangarei after an underside strip back and epoxy/antifoul treatment. She was ultrasonic tested in 2017 and has been kept in pristine condition ever since- Survey Available upon Request.

An excellent opportunity to own a turnkey–Roberts 44 that's ready to take you coastal cruising like never before.

Enquire now, if you are looking to trade in your sailing boat or take to the water this summer.
