Originally constructed by Cranston Boat Builders and recently completing a refit at Blue Fix Shipyard in Opua in 2021, she presents herself like a new boat. When stepping onto the immaculate teak cockpit and into the bright modern interior, every detail has been covered. This very functional game boat features walk-around decks, stairs to the flybridge, aft flybridge controls from the redesigned flybridge, and all the fishability of a well-thought-out Kiwi game boat. Arkadia is a very special boat, combining traditional design with modern equipment. 

The full repaint leaves Arkadia with an immaculate gloss finish. Driven by twin Cummins QSB engines fitted during the refit, she cruises at 20.5 knots and tops out at 29 knots. The engines have been wound down by 20%, and they have worked well within their capacity. Built tough and equipped for Kiwi-style boating, she presents exceptional craftsmanship, seaworthiness, and a functional interior. Known for its dry riding hull and generous interior, this Don Senior is an exceptionally economical boat fit for a wide range of uses. The cockpit head and exceptional rod storage are two of the many features that make this boat stand out. She is very low maintenance, with simplicity and functionality is key. 

When stepping on board, it is easy to see the well-executed finishes with appointed electronic upgrades, hydraulic steering, large hot water capacity, new tanks, 660W of solar power, freshly serviced windlass, and a near-new tender.
