Beautiful on the eye and a joy to be aboard, Lafitte 44 cutter ‘Three Sheets’ is designed to sail the world in comfort and safety.

Launched in 1981 with long fin keel and skeg-hung rudder, this boat has enjoyed many ocean passages and island cruising through her lifetime, while being meticulously maintained and regularly upgraded.

Current owners picked her up in 2017 and cruised the Greek Islands and coast of Turkey and completed a partial refit before taking on the ARC rally in 2018 from Gran Canaria. After coming through the Panama Canal they made their way to New Zealand over six months, stopping in at Equador, Galapogas, Tuamotu, the Society Islands, Suwarrow Atoll, Samoa, and Tonga.

Complete with a great set of sails (mainsail and headsails new in 2018), and rigging replaced in 2018, this boat offers great sailing as well as practical comfort. Owners have taken great pride and care of her, with regular maintenance carried out.

Her three-cabin layout includes a v-berth forward and a queen + 1 single berth in the aft cabin – perfect for a couple or family cruising.

Three Sheets has a solid GRP hull with Airex filled frames and stringers, and all bulkheads glassed in. The deck is cored GRP overlaid with teak, and the decks were re-grooved and re-caulked in 2016/17. Complete with raymarine electronics, watermaker, generator, and Yanmar engine, this boat is set up for long passages in comfort and self-sufficiency.

Located in Opua and ready to view today, this stunning seaworthy vessel will definitely catch your eye.
