Renown for being very seaworthy and strong, the Contest 48 is a classic looking boat with lovely lines. This boat is extremely capable, easy to manoeuvre and able to take you anywhere in the world.

This boat is in fantastic condition and has recently completed a mini refit, and has been maintained and upgraded to a high level. Some upgrades include new through hull fittings, new standing rigging in 2015, teak deck sanded and re caulked 2014.

Sailing is simple and easy with all lines leading back to the 4 electric winches. This boat has a boom break which slows the boom going across the boat while jibing.

This boat sails well and doesn’t compromise on sail sheeting. Having the traveller across the back on the cockpit and sheeting to the back of the boom gives you full leech control of the main.

The fold out bimny creates great sunshade over the generously sized cockpit. The cabin top is nice and flat which allows for useable space. The aft deck provides great space for lying in the sun or sitting around on bean bags.
The transom has a well designed sugar scoop, with an accessible swim platform and steps up the back.

The major advantage of a centre cockpit layout can be seen in the headroom and volume in the aft cabin.
The interior is stunningly finished in beautiful curving timber that has been maintained to a high standard. There is a full-size nav station, with all electronics at your fingertips.

A U-shape setee with a big table and a huge linear galley running aft makes an ideal space for entertaining.

The engine is a good runner and has been well maintained. A fuel polishing system and reverso oil change system has been installed.
